Gene Autry Bergeron, 44, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 5:27 a.m. Friday, October 31.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Marie Eschete Bergeron of Houma; one son, Greg Anthony Bergeron of Houma; his mother, Josephine Marie Bergeron LeBoeuf; his father, Lloyd Freeman; his step-parents, Willie and Lou Comeaux of Port Allen, La.; three brothers, Nicholas Francis Comeaux of Houma, Michael James Bergeron and Wade Paul Bergeron and wife Connie Hook Bergeron of Kentucky; two sisters, Brenda Marie Comeaux Billiot and husband Norman Billiot of Kentucky and Christine Freeman Brunet and husband Joe Brunet of Chauvin, La.; and lots of friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Freeman and Beatrice Marcel Freeman, Eddie Joesph Bergeron and Emelie Hebert Bergeron.
He was a truck driver with L & L Oil and Gas and a former truck driver with Port Marine Vacuum Services. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He was buried at St. Anthony Cemetery.
