Genevieve Margaret Dupre Hebert, 81, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, September 13.

She is survived by three sons, Billy Hebert and wife Barbara Hebert, Gerald Hebert and wife Paula Hebert, and Tommy Hebert and wife Joan Malbrough Hebert of Houma; two daughters, Barbara Russo and husband Sam Russo, and Linda Rousseau and husband Luby Rousseau of Houma; one brother, E.J. Dupre of Gonzales, La.; one sister, Lyie Simoneaux of Montegut; 10 grandchildren, Courtney Hornsby, Eric Hebert, Jill Ganier, Kara McClanahan, Mickey Russo, Angie Leger, Tiffany Rousseau, Nicholas Hebert, Mitchell Hebert and Jody Sevin; and 10 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Paul Hebert; her parents, Ernest J. Dupre and Josephine LeBouef Dupre; two brothers, Lynus Dupre and Duffy Dupre; and three sisters, Adele Pellegrin, Necia Robicheaux and Elodie Price.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Disabled Veterans Auxiliary and the American Legion. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
