Genevieve D. Stevens, 89, a native of Citronelle, Ala., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011.


She is survived by her sons, Michael (Sandra), Joseph, William, Thomas (Lana), Gerald (Lisa), John (Robin Boudwin), and Brian Stevens; daughters, Patricia (Eustice) Pitre, Jacqueline (Michael) Regner, Linda (Larry) Ward, Norma Jean (Robert) Gautreaux, Mary (Glenn) Cradeur and Janice (Michael) Dupre’; 41 grandchildren, Tamara Marcel, Craig and Nikki Pitre, Wendy Jenkins, Mark and Brian Regner, Michelle Proper, Kristi Babb, Guy III “Trey,” Melissa, Timothy, Maureen, James Jr., Joseph, Amy, Katie, Daniel, Genevieve, Michael Jr. “Lee,” Allison, Charlie, John D., Scott and Matthew Stevens, Jessica Verdin, Dawn Fournier, Colleen Lazaro, Larry Jr. and Brett Ward, Leslie Miller, Jill Larzelere, Ashley Moreno, Robbie, Toby, Todd and Samantha Gautreaux, Brad Cradeur, Jamie Jo Anderson, and Jennifer, Stephen and Jason Rice; 43 great-grandchildren, Emily, Courtney and Zachary Marcel, Brandon and Reagan Fonseca, ShayLee Levron, Lauren and Haley Jenkins, Cory, Jarrod and Joshua Regner, Britton and Cole Proper, Sydney, Jackson and Tucker Babb, Angelle, Meghan, Drake, Karrlee, Maedyn and Alex Stevens, Westley Bourg, Beau and Taylor Fournier, Megan and Madison Chatellier, Bradley Lazaro, Peyton and Triston Miller, Jade and Jerry Pitre, Madison Foster, Jacob Verdin, Emily, Dylan and Katie Larzelere, Ridge Benoit, Jake and Kaiden Gautreaux, Kiley Barrios, and Antonia and Damian Moreno; and one great-great-grandchild, Parker Levron.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Hartwell Stevens Sr.; two sons, Guy Jr. and James Stevens; one grandchild, Trevelyn Pitre; one great-grandchild, Andres J.I. Alcala; and great-great-grandchild, Emily Fonseca; her parents, William Clinton Draime and Mary Edith Daffron; five sisters, Estella Marie Howard, Jessie Naomi Geiger, Elizabeth Pearl Callahan, Dorothy Lucille Heese and Margaret Alice Fore; and four brothers, Joseph Earl Draime, George Robert Draime, Paul Andrew Draime and James Augustus Draime.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
