George Loyola “Hook” Boudreaux, 87, a native of Houma, La. died at Friday, November 2, 2007, at 5:00 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Theriot Boudreaux; two sons, George “Mummy” Boudreaux and his wife Peggy, and Dr. James “Jimmy” Boudreaux and his wife Joy; two daughters, Marie Boudreaux and Joan Boudreaux; four grandchildren, Leah Boudreaux Gonsoulin and her husband Wayne, Lacy Boudreaux, Timothy Boudreaux, and Connie Boudreaux; and one sister, Ernestine Boudreaux Ellender.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Van George Boudreaux and Agnes Guidry Boudreaux; two brothers, F.E. Boudreaux and Emmett Boudreaux; and three sisters, Claire Boudreaux Belanger, Gloria Boudreaux Haydel and Marie Van Boudreaux.


George was a loving and wonderful husband for 59 years, father, grandfather and friend. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during World War II in Europe.

He is buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Regional Military Museum in Houma or the American Heart Association.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
