December 4, 2010Gerald Joseph Marcel, 68, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010.
Mr. Marcel was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was employed for 35 years with McDermott and he loved fishing, playing cards and visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Patricia Guidry Marcel; daughters, Stephanie (Vince) Moore, Jackie Webre and Tina (Jacob) Tregre; son, Andy (Torie) Marcel; brothers, Maurice (Opal) and Michael (Mary) Marcel; and 11 grandchildren, Jacob and Haley Webre, Paige and Bailey Moore, Warren and Alexa Tregre, Gabrielle and Anthony Marcel, Makaila Marcel, Drake and Austin Lirette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Delores “Bea” Brunet Marcel; grandparents, Albert and Lily Brunet and Mrs. Joseph Pontiff; and one sister, Dolores Marcel Bourgeois.
He is buried at Bayou Black Cemetery.
