Gerald Pellegrin, 76, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:02 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010.


Mr. Pellegrin was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.


He is survived by his son, Thomas (Laurie) Pellegrin of Houma; Christopher (Kathy) of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Portier of Durham, N.C.; Jennifer Claire Cenac of Houma; sisters, Jeanette Platt of Woodlands, Texas, and Brenda (Richard) Braud of Houma; eight grandchildren, Katherine (Brett Christie) Portier of Seattle; Margaret Portier of Nagoya, Japan, Sarah Pellegrin of Houston, Eric Pellegrin of Houma, Brittany (Joel) Drickamer of Houma, Heidi (Nick) Charalambous of South Carolina, Michael (Andrea) Cenac of Houma and Jessica Pellegrin of Baton Rouge; sisters-in-law, Linda Warren of Houma and Ethel Pellegrin.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Carlos Pellegrin; parents, Ivy and Onita Lapeyrouse Pellegrin; and brother, Allen Pellegrin.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
