Gerald Joseph Price, 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 8:22 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by four sons, Gary J. Price and wife, Barbara, Eric J. Price, Mark A. Price of Houma and Dale J. Price and wife, Sara, of Des Allemands, LA.; two daughters, Myra P. Adams and husband, Mike, of Schriever, LA. and Lora P. Songe and husband, Mike of Houma; two brothers, Junior Price and Terry Price of Houma; three sisters, Miriam Thibodaux of Houma, Geraldine Price Pack of Chauvin, LA. and Mildred Machacek of Lafayette, LA.; 16 grandchildren, Dristy, David, Denise, Jeremy, Amy, Bethany, Wade, Heather, Shane, Dustin, Troy, Tracy, Rachel, Zachary, Hannah and Nicholas; two great-granddaughters, Gabrielle and Jayden; his companion and her children, Helen Hidalgo and Robbin, Karen and Bobby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley LeBoeuf Price; his parents, Sidney and Adeline Deroche Price; one great-grandson, Dylan; and two brothers, Harold Price and wife, Dorothy, and Carroll Price.

Before retiring he worked as a leaderman at Cenac Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing and spending lots of time with family and friends. He was well loved and will be sorely missed.

He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
