Gerald Schexnayder

Gerald Paul Schexnayder Sr., 81, a native of New Roads, La., and resident of Schriever, La., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010.

Mr. Schexnayder loved the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Garnet Schexnayder; son, Gerald Jr. (Katherine) Schexnayder Jr.; daughters, Bridget (Pat) Olivier and Allyson Schexnayder; brother, Ovide Schexnayder; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28 at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel in New Roads.
