Gertrude “Gert” Marie Breaux Cunningham, 81, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, August 25, 2007.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Joseph Cunningham of Houma; one son, Wayne Cunningham and wife, Beth, of Lake Providence; one daughter, Bonnie Guidry and husband, Jim, of Houma; two brothers, Herman Breaux and Bubba Breaux of Houma; one sister, Shirley Ledet of Houma; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Breaux and Louise Giroir Breaux.
Gertrude was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
Visitation is Monday, August 27, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She will be buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
