Gladys Boudreaux Deroche, 83, a native of Algiers, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 8:27 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

Mrs. Deroche was employed with Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was past president, and lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary No. 3700 and Cancer Aid and Research chairman for many years.


She is survived by her sons, David (Elaine) and Steven (Patricia) Deroche; daughters, Roxana (Noel) LeBouef and Gwen Davis; stepbrothers, Howard Jr. and Gil Boudreaux; stepsisters, Olive Flanagan and Cindy Boudreaux Hebert; eight grandchildren, Stacy Dufour, Christopher LeBoeuf, Natasha Deroche, Mary Pellegrin, and Milton, Justin, James and Sheldon Deroche; six great-grandchildren, Seth and Hunter Pellegrin, Andrew and Ashley Dufour, and Gavin and Bradon Deroche.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Joseph Deroche; parents, Howard and Felicie Bourgeois Boudreaux; son, Larry Deroche; daughter, Tana Deroche; and brothers, Wester and Harold Boudreaux.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to The American Cancer Association or Saint Jude.
