Gladys Guidry Besson, 83, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Grand Isle, La., died at 12:08 a.m. Friday, August 15.
She is survived by four sons, Jesse Besson, Frank Besson Sr., Roscoe Besson and Kelly Besson; four daughters, Ethel Anderton, Charlene Blanchard, Leoda Bladsacker and Barbara Howell; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rousselot Besson; her parents, Urban Guidry and Alexina Doucet Guidry; and three brothers.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church in Grand Isle.
She was buried at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church Cemetery in Grand Isle.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
