Gladys Boquet LeCompte, 89, a native of Bourg, La. and resident of Minden, La. died Monday, October 29, 2007, at 9:10 a.m.
She is survived by her son, Tim LeCompte; four daughters, Gay Ramia and her husband Bill, Susie Johnson and her husband John, Lana Martin and her husband Walter, and Paulette Malamud and her husband Ken; 10 grandchildren, Billy Ramia, Linda Berry, Amy Prenger, Eric Johnson, Kelli Person, Troy Martin, Kurt Theriot, Ryan Malamud, Kristin Fitt, and Michael LeCompte; and 14 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Anna Ramia, Jonas, Brian, Kayla, and Bryce Berry, Jeremy Prenger, Hannah Johnson, Erin and Melanie Neal, Conner, Jacob, and Shaohanna Martin, and Serenity and Kya Fitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton LeCompte; her parents, Joseph and Marie Blanchard; one grandchild, Melanie Ramia; four brothers, and five sisters.
Gladys was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a loving wife to her departed husband Alton for 69 years. She worked in the library at South Terrebonne High School for 23 years. She was a charter member and the past president of the Bourg Lions Club Auxillary. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 30, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 31, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma, La. She will be buried at St. Ann Cemetery in Bourg.
