Houma house fire kills 4 pets

Glen Verret Jr., 18, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died Sunday, July 12.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Elma and Michael Phillips; father and stepmother, Glen Verret Sr. and Mathilda Verret; one brother, Johnell Verret; one stepbrother, Michael Phillips; three sisters, Vivian A. Verret, Hannah Verret and Ivie Verret; and grandparents, Brunell Trosclair and Edgar Trosclair, and Allen Verret.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vivian Dardar Verret; and one nephew.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
