Gloria “Momma Lou” Campbell, 72, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, May 15, 2011.


Mrs. Campbell was a member of Moses Baptist Church.


She is survived by her husband, Charlie Campbell; sons, Fleming (Patricia) Moore and Nathaniel Lewis; stepson, Edward Carter; daughters, Sharlene Lewis and Carol (Clarence) Hunt; stepdaughter, Dianne Carter Pike; brother, James Hills; sisters, Annette Smith and Flora Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Annette and Oberlin Moore; son, Wilfred Lewis; stepson, Morrell Carter; daughter, Betty Ann Lewis; brothers, Earl Moore and Lionel Hill; and grandparents, Lilly and Henry Hills and Florence and Willie Moore Sr.

She is buried at Moses Cemetery No. 2. (Kennedy)
