Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion

Gloria LaCoste Liner, 80, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Theriot, La., died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010.


She is survived by her children, Glorietta Lovell, Claude Jr. (Judy), Christopher (Shellen), Michael Sr. (Mona), Timothy Sr. (Elaine), Quarnell (Betty), and Gabriel (Debra) Liner Sr., and Mercedes (Jesse Sr.) Lirette; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; brothers, Malcolm Sr., Ray Jr., Melvin Sr., Ravin Sr. and Mark LaCoste; and sisters, Hazel (Roy) Hymel, Lois (Atlas) Lovell, Gertrude (Charles) DeHart, Eula Mae (Andrew) Lirette, Pearly (L.J.) Giroir, Linda (Alfred) Lirette, and Sharon (Daniel) Verdin.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Liner Sr.; parents, Ray Sr. and Elvina Adams LaCoste; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Bessie Mae Liner; one granddaughter; and siblings, Mae Aucoin, Ivy LaCoste, Salina Duval, Peter LaCoste Sr., Paul LaCoste Sr. and Myrtle Aucoin.

She was a member of Dularge Baptist Mission.

She is buried at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
