Gregory Edward Smith, 63, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.
Mr. Smith was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired campus Police Sergeant for Southern University in New Orleans.
He is survived by his mother, Alma M. Smith; son, Keith (Rochelle) Smith; sibling, Desrhea (LeRoy) Baker; Godchild, Dwayne (Terrie) Lyons; three grandchildren, Idaya, Kamaria Ra and Rehema Smith; niece, LeRhea Baker; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ellery Smith; and brother, Clarence E. Smith. (DW Rhodes of New Orleans)
