September 16, 2010Hallie “Poonie” Joseph Toups, 67, a native of Berwick, La., and a resident of Amelia, La., died Sunday, September 12, 2010.
Mr. Toups loved to spend time and support his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed taking them camping, hunting, boating and fishing. He was known as a very hard worker and one of the best burners at Moveable Offshore. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Toups; children, Marcie Acosta, Hallie and Chad Toups; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Louis Jr. and Larry Toups; sisters, Beatrice Thompson, Gloria Adams, Patsy Carter and Helen Blanco; and two grandchildren.
Interment was at Morgan City Mausoleum.
