Harold Michael Castell Sr., 74, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Dularge, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
Mr. Castell was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Eloi. He enjoyed coaching, sports and horse racing and contributed 29 years as recreation director of Terrebonne Parish Recreation District No. 10. His positive attributes as a coach, mentor and father-figure touched the lives of many youth in the Dularge community. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Castell; sons, Harold Jr. and Danny (Nicole) Castell; daughter, Penny (Greg) Gleason; sister, Rose Kuhl; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
