Harris Paul Blanchard Sr., 93, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010.


He is survived by his wife, Mildred T. Blanchard; son, Harris P. Blanchard Jr.; daughters, Betty (Robert) Arceneaux, Jeanette (Larry) Maronge, Anna Mae (Michael) Robichaux, Bessie (Jay) Danos, Merry (Kenneth) Arceneaux and Jolly Thibodeaux; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Ponvelle Blanchard; parents, Cleveland and Louise Aucoin Blanchard; two brothers, Burton Gaudet and Warren Blanchard; and two sisters, Lois B. Aysenne and Elise B. Richard.

He is buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery.
