Bayou Cane uses grant money for fire safety
October 7, 2010Hazel Terrebonne Dupre, 89, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Delcambre, La., died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010.

Mrs. Dupre was always happy and had a passion for cooking and feeding her family.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny (Clara), Jimmie (Anna) and Rickey (Michelle) Dupre; nine grandchildren, William Dupre, Clarissa Delcambre, Cathy Conner, Connie Arceneaux, Cheryl Salas, Carin LeMaire, Jimmie Dupre Jr., Lacey Fontenot and John Evans Dupre II; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodney and Mike Terrebonne; and sisters, Irene Kern and Earline Pitre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Evans Dupre; parents, Dominic and Nathilde Cheramie Terrebonne; one granddaughter, Deborah D. LeBlanc; two brothers, Leo and Irving Terrebonne; and four sisters, Augusta Pitre, Genevieve Doucet, Leones Terrebonne and Eleanor T. Danos.
She is interred at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
