Hazel Mary Guidry, 76, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died Tuesday, May 19, at 4:30 p.m.


She is survived by her five daughters, Gwendyln Lirette and husband, Roosevelt Jr., Glenda Lirette and husband, Daniel, of Theriot, Charlene Lapeyrouse and husband, David of Gonzales, Roxanne Williams and husband, Freddie, of Houma, and Joy Holt and husband, Leonard, of Houma; five sons, Gregory Guidry, Errol Guidry, Carl Guidry, Roy Guidry, all of Theriot, and Danny Guidry of Florida; three sisters, Mazel Guidry of Theriot, Ellen Vauclin of Houma, and Ann Adams of Morgan City; four brothers, Nolan, Andrew and Barry Lirette of Theriot, and Ronnie Lirette of Montegut; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda Liner Lirette and Johnny Lirette; her husband, LeRoy Peter Guidry; one sister, Laura Boudreaux; and one grandchild, Jessica Lirette.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Eloi Altar Society and St. Eloi Prayer Line.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, La. with Massof Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
