Henry Joseph Chauvin, 56, a native of Lafourche Parish, La. and resident of Houma, La., died at 1 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006.
Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at First Baptist Church in Golden Meadow, La. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La.
He is survived by one daughter, Shantell Landry and husband, Mark; two brothers, Alcess “Al” Chauvin Jr. and Johnny Chauvin; two sisters, Octavie Lee and Janevie “Jan” Chauvin; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcess Chauvin Sr. and Olympt Rousse Chauvin, La.; and one godchild.
He was a tankerman. He was Baptist.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
