Herbert L. Haynes, 79, a native of Goshen Springs, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010.
Mr. Haynes served in the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Plake Haynes; sons, Herbert (Machelle) Marshall and Kirk (Jackie) Haynes; daughters, Judy (Robert) Theriot, Deborah (Pierre) Marcel, Wanda (Craig) Marcel, Theresa (Roberto) Villatoro and Patricia (Willie) Chauvin; sister, Thelma (John) Plake; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He is buried at Garden of Memories cemetery.
