Herbert Joseph Tabor, 61, a native and resident of Choctaw, La., died Tuesday, May 19.


He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Folse Tabor; his mother, Toudell Ordoyne Tabor; one son, Heath “Snoopy” Tabor and wife, Ginger; one sister, Gale T. Thibodaux and wife, Carl; one grandchild, Jacob Daniel Tabor; and three godchildren, Melissa Rink, Dion Clement, and Blake J. Thibodaux.


He was preceded in death by his father, Walter “White” Tabor; one daughter, Tonia Ann Tabor; and his mother and father-in-law, Harris and Azema Folse.

He was a member of the UA Local 198 and worked as a pipeline welder and Tig welder. In his spare time he enjoyed crawfishing, hunting, and weekends at the camp. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at St. James Chapel in Choctaw, La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
