Hilda Marie Jolet Wroblewski, 90, a native of Bayou Cane, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010.

Ms. Wroblewski enlisted in the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps on December 21, 1942. She received the WAAC Service Ribbon and Good Conduct Ribbon. She was discharged on August 25, 1944 as a technician 4th grade.


She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Daniel) Beacom; sons, Peter (Debra), Danny (Mary) and Stanley Jr. (Barbara) Wroblewski; 12 grandchildren, Richard, Ryan and Randy Hawthorne, Brent and Mitch Melancon, Wendy Wroblewski Stands, Danny Wroblewski Jr., Timothy, Benjamin, Philip, Jeffrey and Mona Wroblewski; nine step-grandchildren, Bruce Beacom, Geri Beacom Joubert, Jeffrey, Joseph, Jason and Jacob Whitney, Leon, Bridgette and Melissa Autin; and 31 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Wroblewski; parents, Assie and Mabel Guillot Jolet; one daughter, Joan Wroblewski Melancon; two sisters, Odessa Jolet Daigle and Althea Jolet Due; and one brother, Nelson Jolet.

She is buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery.
