Horace “Bog” Dennis Rodrigue Sr., 86, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 16.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rose Ockman Rodrigue; sons, Victor “V.J.” Rodrigue and wife, Sharon, and Donald Rodrigue; brothers, Walley Rodrigue, Elton Rodrigue and wife, Betty, and August Rodrigue and wife, Alice; sister, Shirley Thibodeaux and husband, Walter; five grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Augustilia Legendre Rodrigue; son, Horace Rodrigue Jr.; and siblings, Victoria “Vic” Rodrigue, Simon Rodrigue and Mary Kliebert.
He was a U.S. World War II veteran and a member of the VFW Post 5097. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Highways as a road grater.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
