Odomes’ lifelong friend to testify against him

August 29, 2011Howard Terrell August, 36, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Lake Charles, La., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Mr. August attended Franklin Senior High School then went on to further his education at Grambling State University. He went on to receive his license from Louisiana State Board of Barbering. He was a very loving person with a huge personality. His beautiful smile, warm bear hugs, and great sense of humor would leave a lifetime impression.
He is survived by his loving wife, Waletta August; son, Terrell August; parents, Howard and Linda August; grandmother, Wilhemina August; brothers, Marlon (Renee) August, Brian (Patrice) Gilliams and Kentrell Lewis; sisters, Melinda Fontenette, Shantelle August, LaQuandra Lewis and Tia Conner; father and mother-in-law, Walter (Mary) Stansberry; and a host of god parents, godchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard August and Cleveland and Eula Brown.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Crossing Place, Northwest Blvd. Franklin, La. Burial will be at the Sorrell Community Cemetery. (Jones)
