Irene Rita Abadie, 87, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014.
Mrs. Abadie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Champagne; brother, Abel Pontiff; sister, Earline Trahan; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Abadie; parents, Abel and Helen Pontiff; brothers, Edmond, Edward and Joseph Pontiff; and sister, Lucille Pontiff.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
