Irving Legendre Sr., 81, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
Mr. Legendre was a U.S. Army veteran and a former pipefitter with Avondale Shipyard.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Adelina Legendre; sons, Irving Jr. (Janice) and Avery (Mary) Legendre; daughters, Trudy (Rev. Dale) Usey and Noami (John Jr.) Campbell; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Vacherie, La. (Thibodaux)
