Isabel Cecile Comeaux, 88, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, July 17.


She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Comeaux of Houma, Robert Comeaux of Gulfport, Miss., and Daniel Comeaux and wife Lou of Houma; three daughters, Marie Elaine Hebert and husband Roosevelt “T-Boy” of Houma, Evie Galbraith and husband Terry of Bossier City, La., and Karen “Kay” Schillage of Houma; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Joseph Comeaux; parents, Albert Sr. and Natalie Samanie Songe; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Crochet Comeaux; five brothers, Henry, Emile, Albert Jr., Elmore Sr. and Gilmore Songe; and two sisters, Cornelia LeBoeuf and Nora Bussey.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the funeral home with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
