Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion

James Randy Allen, 63, a native of Monroe, La., and resident of Youngsville, La., died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, surrounded by family.


Mr. Allen was a professional fast pitch softball player for Pak ‘N’ Pak in the Seattle, Wash., area. He coached several little league and select softball teams. He coached Newport High School girls in Bellevue, Wash., as well as Bellevue Community College, and later coached in Houma. He was a senior project manager for more than 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Thibodaux Chiasson Allen; son, Timothy James Allen; daughters, Tara (Wade) Ackerson and Kara Jeanne Dolquist; stepchildren, Derek and Ryan Chiasson; three grandchildren, J. Trevor Dolquist, Travis James Ackerson and Cierra Jeane Dolquist; and two step-grandchildren, Jordan and Brady Chiasson.


He was preceded in death by his parents, James Auburn Allen and Joanne Turner Allen.

A special thanks to the staff at Heart of Hospice.

He is buried at the St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Thibodaux.
