James Austin Babin, 53, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died at 5:54 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010.
Mr. Babin was the owner and operator of Hard-Rock Towing Co. of Houma.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Seargeant Babin; mother, Velma Theriot Babin Plaisance; sons, Travis Seargeant, and Braden and Roger Babin; daughters, Angelique Babin and Jessica Tart; brothers, Ronnie, Dan and Harry Jr. “Butch” Babin; and sisters, Brenda Brunet, Michele Freemin and Anna Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Babin Sr.; and one brother, John Dupre.
He is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
