James Douglas “Dougie” Guerin Jr., 53, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, La., died Wednesday, July 6, 2011.
Mr. Guerin was a true outdoors man. His home was on the bayous of Louisiana in his boat. He was a hunter, fisherman and gator hunter. He also enjoyed scuba diving and spear fishing. He had a special way about him. He was a good man who will be mournfully missed by all those who were made better by knowing and loving this good man.
He is survived by his sisters, Debbie (Jim) Moran, Charmaine Hedrick, Denise (Cary) Mendoza and Leslie Guerin; and companion, Linda Pichoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Virgie Guerin; and his dog, Daisy.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Hargrave Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. (Hargrave)
