James “J.P.” Martin, 82, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
He is survived by his companion, Barbara Thibodeaux; son, Clark Booty and wife, Donna; daughters, Jamie Richard and husband, Brian, and Glenda Landry and husband, Edward; brother, Norman Martin; sister, Anna Mae Hidalgo; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Martin; his mother, Elise Bergeron Martin Clement; his father, Ulger Martin; his stepfather, Eno Clement; son, Jimmy Martin; and brother, Donald Martin.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
