James Junior Mott Sr., 59, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died at Senton Northwest Hospital in Austin, Tx., at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, September 7.

He is survived by his companion, JoAnn Steele of Des Allemands; his father, Albert Mott Sr. of Des Allemands; five sons, James Mott Jr., Reginald Daron Mott Sr. and Gregory Jarmaine Mott, all of Des Allemands, Jamie Lionel Mott of Westwego, La., and Christopher Robinson of Raceland, La.; one daughter, Felicia Annette Mott Polly of Luling, La.; two sisters, Anna Mae Thomas of Raceland and Alberta Singleton of Harvey, La.; and four brothers, Albert Mott Jr. of Kenner, La., Irvin Mott of Marrero, La., Micheal Mott and Nolan Mott Sr. of Des Allemands.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Enola Scott Mott; one brother, Lawrence Mott; three sisters, Shirley Robinson, Dorothy Allen and Delores Darenburg; and his grandparents, Lillie Hawkins, Joseph Mott and James Scott Sr.

He was Baptist.

He was buried at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
