Jane Compeaux Jabert, 68, a native and resident of Cut Off, La. died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at 10:55 p.m.
She is survived by her former husband, Terry John Jabert; her mother, Evelyn Lorraine Compeaux; one son, Deme Grabert and his wife Kathy; one daughter, Jane Lirette and her husband Keith; and two brothers, Harold and Dale Compeaux.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Deme Joseph Grabert; and her father Wister Antoine Compeaux.
Jane was a Jehovah’s Witness. She loved to dance.
Visitation is Sunday, November 4, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is Cut Off, with the funeral held Monday, November 5, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Hwy 311 in Houma. She will be buried in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Terrebonne Council on aging or the Bayou Region Hospice and Cancer Care Specialists of Houma.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
