February 14, 2011Jane Amundson Lafargue, 79, a native of Shreveport, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011.
Mrs. Lafargue attended Louisiana State University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was a homemaker, sports fan and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her children, Norman (Patricia) Lafargue, John Lafargue and Nancy (Peter) Scowcroft; two grandchildren, Katherine and Allison Lafargue; and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Thelma Walker Amundson; brother, Robert Jerry Amundson; and aunt, Bessye Walker Piacun.
A private ceremony and burial was held in Shreveport.
