Jay James Lovergne, 25, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:17 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010.


He is survived by his mother, Cynthia (Thomas Ber) Lovergne; father, Lloyd Lovergne Sr.; stepmother, Paula Lovergne; step-brothers, Justin Falgout and Seth Brossette; step-sisters, Ranelle (Jason Naquin) Jelks and Alyssa Brossette; step-nephew, Dawson Jelks; step-niece, Braelyn Jelks; godchild, Kaydence Himel; paternal grandparents, Robert “Bobby” Sr. and Patricia “Patty Porche” Lovergne; aunts, Catherine Liner, Margaret Adams and Judith “Judy” (David “Poncho”) Pellegrin; godfather, Chad Rochelle; godmother, Erika (Clay Chaisson) Liner; brother, Lloyd (Kayla) Jr.; newphew, Landen; uncles, Eugene “Gene” (Sally) and Steven Adams; cousins, Linwood (Lori) Liner Jr., Beatrice “Chippy” (Mike Solito) Broussard, Eugene (Summer) Adams, Kelli Chinchilla, Brian (Kellie) Adams, Nicole (John) Plaisance, Steven and Armand (Lena) Adams, Kristi (Byron) Tabor, Dawn (Chad) Monroe, Tiffany (Drew) Lagar, and Ashley and Dylan Lovergne; and numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts and great-uncles, friends and family.


He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Armand Adams; his great-grandparents, Lloyd “Slim” and Emily Hackel Poche’, and Reynolds and Genevieve LeCompte; his great aunt, Rosie Poche’; and his best friend, Brett D. Himel.

He is buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
