Jeanette Bourgeois LeBlanc Aysen, 74, a native of Donner, La., and resident of Labadieville, La., died at 7:32 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012.

Mrs. Aysen was a beloved wife, mother, granny, sister and friend to many. She was also an avid gardener, wonderful cook and active parishioner of St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville.


She is survived by her husband, Howard Aysen Sr.; son, Kerry (Annette) LeBlanc; daughter, Jodie Rodrigue; stepsons, Howard Jr. (Anna) and Steve Aysen; brother, Stephen (Claire) Bourgeois; sisters, Floradee (Alvin) Ordoyne, Lorraine (Maxie) Giroir and and Donna (John) Wood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth LeBlanc; parents, Abby and Mildred Bourgeois; brother, Wayne Bourgeois; and sister, Catherine Bourgeois.

Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux, La., and 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Landry’s)
