Jeanette “Jenny Blue” Campbell, 67, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011.

Ms. Campbell was a well-known cook and seamstress. She worked as a pastry chief at the Morgan City Petroleum Club for several years. She also made many young ladies wedding daydreams come true. She designed and constructed elegant wedding gowns and cakes. She was a proud graduate of Sumpter Williams High School, and she attended Nicholls State University where she received a certificate in pastry design. She enjoyed traveling around the country to visit relatives, as well as taking her casino bus trips.


She is survived by her mother, Mattie Palmer; stepmother, Joan Campbell; brothers, Clarence, Ronald, Levi, Raymond, Glen and Henry Campbell, and Craig Hall; sisters, Brenda Murray, Nancy Campbell, Sharon Dardar, Wanda Lowery and Carol Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Campbell Sr.; two brothers; and one sister.

She is buried at Morgan City Cemetery. (Jones)
