Jeanette Fanguy Cologne, 73, a native of Des Allemands, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010.


Mrs. Cologne was a member of St. Gertrude Ladies Altar Society, an avid supporter of the Louisiana Catfish Festival and a 2008 Grand Marshall of the Des Allemands parade.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Sr. (Ruth) and Henry (Chrissy) Cologne; daughters, Lisa (Calvin Sapia) Douglas and Bonnie Cologne; siblings, Jimmy Fanguy, Genevieve Cologne, Mary Jane Chauvin and Martha Eusea; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Cologne Jr.; and parents, James Sr. and Sadia P. Fanguy.

She is buried at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery.
