Jeanne Loupe Orgeron, 101, a native and resident of Larose, La. died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 8:20 p.m.


She is survived by three daughters, Mildred Richeaux, Anna Lou Orgeron, Sherry Mouton; two sisters, Josephine Loupe and Bernice Theriot; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse Orgeron; her parents, Joseph and Bernadette Loupe; three sons, Joseph, Norris, and Anthony Orgeron; three daughters, Ella Mae Spears, Theresa Chiasson, and Thelma Orgeron; and five brothers, Albert, Joseph, Louis, Noah, and Oleus Loupe.

Jeanne was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Alter Society.

Visitation is Tuesday, January 8, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
