Jeffrey J. Cheramie, 58, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Thursday, February 19, at 6 a.m.
He is survived by his former wife and caretaker, Sherryl Cheramie; son, Matthew Cheramie and companion Randella Kern; brother, Phillip Cheramie; and sisters, Dianne Pitre, Rebecca Beene, Phyllis Felarise and Kate Rousse.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Cheramie; and stepfather and mother, Valforus and Theresa Thibodeaux Rousse.
He was a retired boat captain.
A graveside service was held at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
