September 9, 2011Jennings Moise Bernard Sr., 81, a native of St. Martinville, La., and resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Bernard; children, Nadine (Kenny) Marcel, Letty (Frederick) Steckler, Cynthia (Kevin) Sarver, Jennings Jr. (Gena) and Eric Bernard Sr.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; and one sister.
Burial was at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. (Twin City)
