Jerry Joseph Cadiere Sr., 64, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Montegut, La., died Tuesday, March 4, at 2:15 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Dehart Cadiere; son, Jerry Cadiere Jr. and wife Melisa; daughters, Lena Phares and husband Rick, and Sherry Atteberry; brothers, Amos and Donald Cadiere; sister, Bernadette Foret; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Ethel Bellanger Cadiere; daughter, Sheila Cadiere; and brother, Danny Cadiere.
He was a retired boat captain. He was also a cherry picker and CB radio operator.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 7, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. He will be buried at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
