Sheriff’s ranges give public a new target
March 11, 2010Jesse Ray Matherne, 69, a native of Bayou Gauche, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony, Guy and Nathan Matherne; and sisters, Pamela Hammons and Jessica Lombas; stepchildren, Angela Neil, Jennifer Verdin and Catherine Dardar; 17 grandchildren, Kandice, Heather, Jena, Jesse “TJ”, Johnathon, Brittany, Brandon, Tiffani and Katelyn Matherne, Mica, Dakota, Jason, Dillian, Chaz and Ryder Verdin, Josh Neil and Reuben Dardar; and one great-grandchild, Keirstyn Matherne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillmond and Helen Matherne.
He is buried at Rogers Cemetery in Bayou Blue.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
