December 31, 2009Jessie Michael Dunn Sr., 68, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009.
Mr. Dunn enjoyed playing his guitar, gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Dufrene Dunn; children, Tammy (Blake) Chiasson, Jessie (Lisa) Jr. and and Jody Tammy) Dunn; seven grandchildren, Chris and Carla Chiasson, Remly and Keith Dunn, Bradley Dunn, Jeanice McKay and Jodi Ann Dunn; two great-grandchildren, Morrigan Sandlin and Miranda Dunn; brother, John Dunn; and sisters, Katie Folse and Lorraine Horn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orelia and Mike Dunn; son, Keith Anthony Dunn; brothers, Armand “Son,” Roy Sr. and James Dunn; and sisters, Lydia Dufrene, Mayola Daigle and Aletha Baudoin.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday, Dec. 31, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. The funeral service will follow at the church.
He will be buried at Sunset Cemetery.
