Jessie Pertuit, Sr., 86, a native and resident of Raceland, La. died Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 12:10 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Zeringue Pertuit; one daughter, Diane Badeaux and her husband Freddie; one brother, Javy Pertuit; one sister, Luoella Rybiski; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step great-grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Angelle Folse Pertuit; and one son, Jessie Pertuit, Jr.
Jessie was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. He was a loving husband to his wife Agnes for 68 years. He was Knights of Columbus 4th degree and a member of Woodman of the World. He was a retired Evacuation Contractor.
Visitation is Tuesday, December 4, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
