Jessie Young, 85, a native of South Carolina and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, April 16.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Joseph Young Sr., Bruce Elliott Young and Nathaniel Young; daughters, Rosie Bell Brown, Dianne Young Manuel and Sylvia R. Ovide; sister, Carrie Mae; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles Young Sr.; her parents, Charlie Harrison and Rosie Bell Harrison; and sons, Edward Charles Young Jr. and Larry Young.
She was buried at Moses Baptist Cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
