Jimmie Ordoyne, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010.
Mr. Ordoyne served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Among other medals earned, he received the Purple Heart and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. After military service, he entered the field of law enforcement and later retired after serving the Thibodaux Police Department and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
He is survived by his brothers, Mike, Eric and Greg Ordoyne; sister, Angie Guedry; and stepdaughters, Rachael Tardo and Cheryl Dantin, and their children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Naquin Ordoyne; and his parents, Adam and Vivian Dempster Ordoyne.
He is buried at Biloxi National Cemetery.
